2006:
Government
Works Inc. signs a multi year contract
for technical support for Go Army Educational
Initiative (GoArmyEd) as part of a team
headed by IBM. A wide range of services
for the Army Continuing Education System
(ACES) operations in the Army’s
civilian voluntary education program
is anticipated by adding new and advanced
technological functionality to its overall
educational system in order to create
a robust virtual one stop shop educational
environment.
While
this program has many detailed specifications
and applications to active duty Soldiers,
family members and Department of Army
civilians, it has other beneficiaries,
such as Soldiers in Army Guard Reserve
Status and US Army Reserve (USAR). Use
of these new and advanced Army developments
as a prototype for other Military Services,
such as the Air Force, Navy and Marines
is also foreseen as a benefit of this
contract.
While
the contract calls for the design, implementation,
management, control, operation, maintenance
and test to enhance the infrastructure
for on line training and education,
it also specifies quality levels and
quality control plans.
December
2006:
Government
Works Inc. and the Defense Mission Systems
Division of Northrop Grumman have concluded
a contract for supply of IT services
in relation to US Air Force (AF) intelligence,
Command and Control (C2) and C2 Community
needs. These center on data analysis,
modeling and simulation exercises related
to database, communication expertise
and computer security.
In these research and development activities,
skills relating to collection, processing,
storage, fusion, integration and transmission
of real time and stored information
are involved.
November
2006:
Government
Works Inc. is currently starting to
work on VistA Contractor Support (VCS)
with EDS in providing application maintenance
services. This ten year billion dollar
contract will use specialized skills,
business and health care practice experience
and new technologies to modernize computer
code, add new functionalities and increase
flexibility in the underlying VistA
and other Veterans Affairs (VA) packages
and programs. Core is provision of timely,
effective and efficient IT services
and technical support.
This
work was previously performed with EDS
from 2003 to 2006 under the Vista Contractor
and Rehosting Support program.
Objectives
include cost-effective state-of-the-art
IT solutions with technical and management
support to match, both at VA facilities
and contractor sites. Emerging technologies
are to be utilized in remaining current
throughout this fast changing technology
period.
Specific
project areas are services common to
clinical and administrative applications
involving Patient Service and many middleware
services, blood bank system, clinical
logistics office support, computerized
patient medical records, fee based veteran
services, federal health information
exchange (FHIE) VA/DoD support, project
support services, patient financial
services system (PFSS), pharmacy, scheduling,
application development security processes,
VistA imaging and Vista maintenance.

2006:
Government
Works Inc. teams with SI International
to jointly win the expansion of SeaPort
Enhanced (SeaPort-e) business model
for future Engineering, Financial and
Program Management contractor support
services with a focus on implementing
cost-effective and integrated business
practices to better support the U. S.
Navy. SeaPort Enhanced made electronic
procurement of Engineering, Technical
and Programmatic support services at
NAVSEA a reality. It is providing expertise
in IT services in a wide range of functional
areas, including Software development,
various facets of Engineering and IT
applications.

in various Engineering and IT solutions..
April
2006:
Government
Works Inc. has been teaming with Lockheed
Martin in its long term Housing and
Urban Development (HUD) Information
Technology Services (HITS) project to
upgrade, consolidate and support HUD’s
nationwide information system. Its all
encompassing activities include the
acquisition, installation, operation
and maintenance of the HIIPS system,
including procurement of all computing
hardware and software. With the exception
of application software development,
HIIPS replaced HUD’s prior ADP
and telecommunication services.
The program
has a long list of activities covering
provision of computer, telecommunications
and networking hardware including work
stations and output devices, systems
and DBMS software, documentation, training
and user support, with a two phase execution
of development and operations. It has
23 core and 7 non-core functions. Some
of the outstanding core features are
database management, TV/Video conferencing,
wireless and mobile communications and
the ever important disaster recovery,
electronic data interchange (EDI) and
Security while some of the non-core
ones, such as emergency provision of
supplies and services and IT accessibility
have assumed greater focus as time passes.

2005: Government Works
is currently teaming with EDS on the Veteran's
Health Administration (VHS) Veterans Health
Information Systems & Technology Architecture
(VistA) Care Management or HealtheVet Networking
Support.
Government Works is pleased to announce that
it has been selected by EDS as a team participant
for the VHA Office of Information Health Systems
Design and Development effort to assist in the
re-engineering and migration effort which involves
moving a host of the Veteran’s Information
Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA)
software applications from a MUMPS environment
to a J2EE Service Oriented architecture (SOA).

November
2004: Government Works Information Technology
(IT) services business unit today announced
that it has been chosen by CACI the Federal
Prime Contractor to provide IT Consulting Services.
GWI was recently
selected by the Federal Prime Contractor CACI
to be a provider of IT consulting and support
services through its Recruitment Services Vendor
Program. As a result of the CACI’s preferred
Vendor, GWI is now eligible to provide a broad
range of technology services such as project
and network management, application development,
system and operations support, technical support
services, database management, program design,
and multi-media applications to CACI.
GWI highly qualified
resources shall assist CACI in all levels its
consulting requirements in meeting their IT
goals. “We are pleased to add the federal
prime contracting CACI to our growing list of
government clients.”

July
2004: The Department of the Interior - National
Business Center Re-awards Government Works as
a Sole Source Contractor for "Quarters Management
Information Systems (QMIS)" Software
Government Works
has been selected by the Department of the Interior
- National Business Center (DoI-NBC) to design,
install and test their "Quarters Management
Information Systems (QMIS)" software for calculating
rents for approximately twenty thousand government
occupied housing managed by twenty-three government
client agencies through about 500-users.
Government Works
is to evaluate the present system upgrade methodology
at the DoI-NBC and provide initial recommendations.
Government Works will then followed a design
of the solution implementation.

May 2003: Government Works Wins U.S.D.A Contract in Partnership with CSC
The United States Department of Agriculture (U.S.D.A.), Farm Services Agency (F.S.A) has awarded CSC and Government Works, Inc. partnership a contract to provide a wide variety of Information Technology developmental and support services to the USDA, the FSA, and Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).
Under the contract, Government Works in partnership with CSC will be providing the needed IT experience to deliver on-site IDIQ (indefinite deliver, indefinite quantity) time and materials based services, ranging from business applications engineering and software engineering, to application development, programming, and implementation. Additional support will be provided for integrated telecommunication networks and imaging support projects, as well as special projects like automatic data processing (ADP) requirements analysis, system design, impact analysis, operations research and automation studies.

March 2003: National Guard Bureau Awards $115 Million Information Technology Services Contract to Government Works and SRA
Government Works announced that it was awarded a competitive task order contract as partner to SRA, to provide a broad range of advanced information technology (IT) services and solutions to the National Guard Bureau Chief Information Officer and Reserve Component. The task order, awarded under the U.S. Department of Transportation's Information Technology Omnibus Procurement II (ITOP II) contract, has an estimated contract value of $115 million over five years if all options are exercised. ITOP II is a multiple award contract vehicle for IT services that is available for government use.

February 2003: Government Works Partner of Northrop Grumman Won FAA Invoicing Automation Pact Valued at $79.6 Million
Government Works was selected by Northrop Grumman Defense Enterprise Systems for the Invoicing and Financing Contract Management System (IFMS) Contract valued at $79.6 million for 15 years. The oversight Agencies is the FAA. The IFMS contract is a performance-based contract designed by the FAA to build a new web-based IFMS system, integrating all existing telecommunication invoices and reconciliation packages within the IBM Websphere environment.
Government Works will provide a wide range of expertise including information maintenance and technical support to FAA users nationwide. This newly developed system will result in an estimated $2 million dollar savings in the FAA budget per year. February 2003: Government Works and CSC Partnership Wins $700 million US Army CECOM Rapid Response Program Contract
The team of Government Works and CSC is one of eight teams that was awarded the U.S. Army's Rapid Response Program Government-wide Acquisition Contract. The contract, sponsored by the Army Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM), will provide rapid support to agencies across the government. The estimated value of the agreement is approximately $700 million over eight years. The contract ceiling value for all eight teams is estimated at $3 billion.

Government Works was selected by TAC Worldwide Companies (TAC) to manage its Contract Consulting Program for Nextel Communications. Government Works is an established provider of on-site, contract consulting management programs. Government Works, directly and indirectly, manages $18 million in consulting and technical services for various clients World Wide.
TAC is a global consulting and technical services company with approximately $1 billion annual revenue and is the largest privately held consulting company in the United States.
Nextel Communications, Inc. based in Reston, VA, is the leading provider of fully integrated wireless communications and has built the largest guaranteed all-digital wireless network in the United States covering thousands of communities across the United States. Government Works will manage contract consulting operations from; order fulfillment, timekeeping, along with assignments tracking end-to-end system solutions. Government Works partnered with TAC-Nextel to design a customized full-service program that facilitates the procurement, management and tracking of Nextel Contract/temporary employees.
October 2002: Government Works Signs a Contract with InfoLynx/IBM to Provide IT Consulting Services
Government Works will provide IT Consulting, nationwide for all the IBM facilities within a variety of technologies which include - Senior Personnel, Client Server, UNIX, Internet/Intranet, Web Servers, Middleware, Date Bases, Groupware, Microsoft, ERP and CRM.
July 2002: Government Works Signs a Multi-Year Contract with Lockheed Martin/Alltech International to Provide Services in Strategic Airport Security Rollout (SASR) Project
As a subcontractor to Lockheed Martin/Alltech International, Government Works provides support services to the Strategic Airport Security Rollout (SASR) Project totaling $350 million. The mission of the SASR team is to upgrade US airports, helping protect the integrity and security of US. There are over 430 airports in the United States and US Territories that will be significantly improved by the project and Government Works is proud to be a major part of this Homeland Security Defense effort.
Government Works will upgrade passenger security measures at airports and help convert passenger screening operations throughout the U.S. to federal control by implementing the master coordination plan and rollout schedule that it developed under Phase 1 of the program. The work will involve discrete procedures, tailored to individual airports, and affect security for passenger screening. Passenger screening lanes at security checkpoints inside airports will be reconfigured and, if needed, screening equipment such as metal detectors, x-ray machines, video cameras and hand wands will be upgraded or replaced.
Government Works provides solutions in systems integration, program management, software development, and information security for a variety of customers including U.S. and international defense and civil government agencies.
